In the early morning hours of March 23, 2007, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Wanda Cardon Morrill, was reunited with her sweetheart Oran L. Morrill. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2006. Mom was able to go home peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Mom was born 20 minutes before her twin sister Vilda, on May 6, 1923 in Colonia Dublan, Mexico; to Jesse Cardon and Frances Farnsworth.

She lived in El Paso, Texas and there she met and married her sweetheart Oran on August 3, 1944. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple.

They moved to Orem, Utah, where they stayed and raised their four children: Wanda Rae, Beth Elaine, Oran Leslie and Marvin D.

Mom was a fantastic homemaker. She always took pride in decorating her home and yard, loved to quilt and cook. She was especially good at cooking Mexican food and she loved to prepare Thanksgiving dinners for her large family.

After the family was raised, Oran and Wanda moved to St. George, where they enjoyed living for 16 years. They moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah in 1993, where they could be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a primary teacher, visiting teacher, ward missionary at a care center and worked with the name extraction program for the church.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Rae and Beth; 2 sons, Leslie and Marvin; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nellie Foote, Dottie Yeager and Mary Naylor; and 1 brother, E.G. “Bob” Cardon. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem. Friends may call on Sunday evening March 25, 2007 from 6 until 8 at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State Street, and on Monday morning at the mortuary from 9 until 9:45 a.m.

We love you so much and can’t wait to see you again Mom!

Our heartfelt thanks to the many wonderful staff at Alpine Home Health and Hospice; to Janet, Ginselvi, Matt, Dena, Kathie, Lynn and Verna, who gave so graciously of their time and loving care to our Mom in her last weeks.
