Cardon Families Mission Statement

This is the temple in Rora that replaced the one where Philip and Martha were married. It was built in 1846.

We are the result of the blessed union of Philip Cardon and Martha Marie Tourn. They were united in marriage on the 1st of February in 1821 at the Waldensian temple in Rora, Italy. We are the benefactors of the sacrifice and work that constituted their lives over the ensuing 52 years. We desire to honor their memory. We will show our gratitude and appreciation by growing closer as an extended family, developing greater love for each other and turning our hearts to our fore bearers.

The purpose of the Cardon Families Organization is to coordinate and work together to identify both the ancestors and the descendants of this amazing couple. In so doing we hope to strengthen the ties that bind us together.

We will:

  • Organize family reunions
  • Research family histories
  • Gather photographs
  • Keep journals
  • Write individual and family histories
  • Establish and maintain communications with our extended family through this website
    • Update your contact info by clicking “Update Profile” in the sidebar to the left.
  • Send out family related news
  • Organize travel and tours
  • Complete sacred temple ordinances
  • Organize other family activities we deem appropriate

Our goals are to stay in-touch, grow closer as a family, develop greater love and harmony, and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
