PRESTON, IDAHO – Theo Cardon Merrill, 76, died of natural causes Friday at 10 p/m. in a Salt Lake hospital. Born Nov. 21, 1887, Rich- mond, Utah, to Marriner W. and Martha Mary Cardon Merrill. Mar- ried Anna Wettstein, April 3, 1912, Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Moved to Preston, 1919. Jeweler, 42 years. Survivors: widow; sons, Dean, Wayne, DeMar, both Preston; Cleve, Sepulveda, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brothers, Dr. M. O. Preston; Dr. Kenneth, Salt Lake City; Russell, Grass Valley, Calif, Funeral, Tuesday, 1 p.m., Preston seventh LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Webb Mortuary, Pres- ton, Monday evening, Tuesday prior to services. Burial, Richmond Ceme- tery. He was born Nov. 21, 1887 at Richmond, a son of Marriner W. and Martha Mary Cardon Merill. He married Anna Wettstein April 3, 1912, in Lo- gan temple. He moved to Pres- ton some 45 years ago and a short time later began his ca- reer as a jeweler and estab- lished the Merrill Jewelry Store, continuing in this work for 42 years. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Dean, Wayne, and DeMar of Preston; Cleve of Sepulveda Calif.; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; three broth- ers: Dr. M. O. Merrill, Pres- ton; Dr. Kenneth Merrill, Salt lake City; and Russell Mer- rill, Grass Valley, California. Funeral services were con- ducted today in Preston Sev- enth Ward chapel.
