Susan Rasmussen

Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend past away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 29, 1963 in Ogden, Utah to James A. Rasmussen and DelRae Rasmussen Challis.

Susan’s life began with a miracle by overcoming premature complications through her strong spirit and prayer. In Susan’s youth she was a member of Cannon 6th Ward. She graduated from South High School. She served an LDS mission in Washington D.C. from 1985-1987. Her nickname was “Sister Rooster”.

She loved decorating, especially for the holidays. She had a very compassionate heart for children and for the elderly. She used her creative talents to sew, cross-stitch and make beautiful dolls. She worked at the U.S. Post Office for many years. She also loved and cared for many animals.

She was preceded in death by her father James Alvin Rasmussen, sisters Cindi and Traci.

She is survived by her fiancé Shawn Weaver, Mother; DelRae Rasmussen Challis (Lee), siblings: Cheryl (Bill) Peirce, Kim Jardine, David (Tammy) Rasmussen, Darren Rasmussen, Jana Rasmussen, Jaimi (Jared) Allen and many nieces and nephews.

She was small in stature but, big in heart. We love you Susan. “Big As The Moon”.
