S. Grant Stevenson, 61, Orem, died Tuesday. Dec 8, 1981 in a Salt Lake City Hospital.

He was born Sept. 15, 1920 in Preston, Idaho to Samuel and Irene Winward Stevenson. He married Nada Roundy Cardon Sept. 9, 1946, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He worked for Utah Power and Light for 40 years. At the time of his retirement he was the local agent. He attended Logan High School where he lettered in four sports, baseball, football, basketball and track. He attended Utah State University for two years where he played football his freshman year. He has held many positions in the LDS Church and was a high priest at the time of his death.

He was a member of the Sierra board of directors for 18 years. He was also a member of the Price Lions Club and the Orem Kiwanis Club. He served in the Army Air Force from 1943 to 1945.

He is survived by his wife, Orem, six daughters, Mrs. Jim (Diane) Coffey, Oroville, Calif.; Mrs Gary (Faye) Howard, Tammy Stevenson, both of Orem; Mrs. Art (Janet) Allred, American Fork; Mrs. James (Sue) Pouquette, Mountain View, Calif.; Mrs. Doug (Julie) Dobson, Provo; eight grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, Lt. Col (Ret) Don W. Stevenson and Mrs. Allen (Gwen Jean) White, both of Logan; Charles Wayne Stevenson, Wellsville; and Mrs. Kathryn Jakubowski, Chicago, Ill.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Orem 93rd LDS Ward Chapel 100 N 600 W. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State, Orem and at the ward chapel prior to services on Friday. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
