Wife of John Kenneth Alexander
In loving memory of our mother and grandmother, Sally B. Alexander, who died November 20, 2001 at the age of 82.
She was born Jan 26, 1919 in Idaho, to Gentaro “Tom” and Bessie Gray Tomita. She married John K. Alexander July 25, 1936. She worked for many years as a grocery checker at Grand Central and Temple View Market. She was well loved by her customers, especially the senior citizens that she “adopted.”
She had a great love for animals and nature. She rescued many animals and nursed them to health and had an amazing green thumb.
She is survived by her children, Diana Alexander, James Alexander, Judy Alexander, Lisa Alexander, Bill Alexander; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, William Gray; and cousin, LaVaughn Gray.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Dan; and brothers, Ivan, Gwen.
Services will be Tues. 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, where friends may call that same day 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
