Rodney Lothaire Anderson was born on 7 May 1932 in Millville, UT. He was the oldest of 8 children born to Sylvester & Arlene Anderson. He was raised in Millville, UT and graduated from South Cache High School and attended Utah State University.
Rodney served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and spent one year in Korea at the close of the war serving with his brother Lamar. Following his time in the service, he served a 2 1/2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweden. Following his mission he worked at the Hill Air Force Base in Ogden Utah.
In May 1959 he Married Reatha Cardon and they are the parents of 4 sons and 4 daughters. Their marriage ended in divorce. Rodney married Clara Ann Wenstrom on May 17, 1994. Rodney and Clara have lived in Clinton Utah since their marriage. Rodney liked to go to Antelope Island to see the bison and deer. He loved to go camping and exploring. Rodney and Clara loved to take long drives with no destination necessary.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester & Arlene Anderson and one brother Lamar Anderson. He is survived by his 8 children, Mark, Karl, Maurine, Kent, Roger, Jody, Holly & Malinda. Also, his 5 stepchildren, Lorelei, Victoria, Jeremy, Benjamin, and Matthew. He is also survived by 3 brothers & 3 sisters, Clark, LaRene, Milton, Lorna, Arlo & Dora.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 10:00 am with a viewing at 9:00. Join us at the Clinton 6th Ward Chapel, 5850 South 2575 West, Roy, UT 84067. Interment will be in the Millville Cemetery with Military Honors at 2:00 pm.
