Robert Lamar Noble

Robert Lamar Noble, of St. David, AZ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the age of 85.

Robert was born June 3, 1927, in Alpine, AZ. He graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Robert was a very successful businessman and was best known for being a regional manager for Western Auto in Calexico during his 40+ years of employment with the company.

Robert was very involved in the local community, which included sponsoring several little league teams, donating time and merchandise to the local schools for fundraisers. He was also involved in local politics and sat on the hospital board in Calexico as well as being a member of the Imperial Valley College board of trustees for many years.

He was commonly referred to as “Mr. Western Auto” and “Mr. Calexico”. He loved the community of Calexico and missed his many friends when he retired and moved to Arizona. The family would like to express our gratitude to our oldest sister, Denise Bluth, who opened up her home to Dad and took excellent care of him during his illness.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Georgie Taylor Noble; mother and father, Rozella Brinkerhoff and Charles Leslie Noble; three brothers, Edward, Merwin, and Paul Noble; and a grandson, Robert Jess Bluth.

He is survived by his three sons, Mark (Cathy) Noble of Taylorsville, UT, Dale (Valentina) Noble of Midvale, UT, and Matthew Noble of Idaho Falls, ID; three daughters, Denise (Dennis) Bluth of St. David, AZ, Maryjane Noble of Prescott, AZ and Nancy (Dallas) Ricks of Ririe, ID; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
