ROBERT DOVEY, 74, retired Amoco supervisor-
Graveside services for Robert Dovey, 74, of Decatur will be Saturday at 2 p.m.
at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Harrison McCleod officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Ridout’s Brown Service
Funeral Home.
Mr. Dovey died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at his home. He was born September
20, 1924, in North Platte, Nebraska to Dr. E.G. and De Lisle Maika Dovey. He
was the widower of Winifred Greene Dovey and was a retired supervisor at Amoco
Chemical Co. where he served 37 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia D. Miller of Ooltewah, Tenn, and
Barbara Dovey of Decatur; one brother, Dr. E.G. Dovey Jr of Ram Rod Key, Fla;
and five grandchildren.
