FORT BRIDGER – Services for Rex Henry Ballard, 53, of Mountain View, Will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Fort Bridger American Legion Hall.

He died May 27 at his residence of a heart attack.

He was born Nov. 7, 1925 in Salt Lake City, to Marine N. and Madeline Dauquin Ballard. He married Marilynn Cross June 15, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific for 3 1/2 hears. He had been manager of quality control for Dynalectron Corp. of Fort Worth, Tex. and maintenance man and painter at the Grand Teton Lodge. After suffering two disabling heart attacks, he moved to Mountain View where he has lived since 1976.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Rex Jr. of Lyman, Rusty of Cody, Rich of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Rede of Mountain View; two daughters, Ginger of Berkeley, Calif. and Tami of Laramie; two brothers, Rene of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Roy of Reno, Nev.; two sisters Mrs. Jergen (Emma) Alsted of San Francisco, Calif. and Mrs. Hartley (Susette) Lampshire of Baltimore, Md.

Friends may call at the American Legion Hall in Mountain View on hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the heart association.

Arrangements are by the Crandall Funeral Chapel in Evanston.
