Mishap Victim Still Critical

BRIGHAM CITY, May 14 – Reed L. Hendricks, 20 son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hendricks, Lewiston, Utah, injured in an automobile accident here Saturday morning, was reported in critical condition at a Brigham City hospital Saturday night. Hendricks suffered a fractured leg, a severe gash just below the collarbone, a crushed chest and numerous lacerations about the face and head.

Police Officer Art B. Stowell, who investigated, said Hendricks driving north, apparently went to sleep and his automobile careened across the street to the west, jumped the curbing and smashed into a large tree. The impact demolished the machine, from which Hendricks had to be pried out, Officer Stowell said.
