Peterson, born August 28, 1904 to Rebecca Ballard Cardon and Louis S. Cardon, died October 11, 1993, peacefully at her home in Logan.
She married Valko L. “Bill” Hickman September 17, 1924, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died February 4, 1961. She then married their lifelong friend, “Bud” H. Merrill Peterson, after the death of his wife, Lucille. They were married July 6, 1985. He died August 26, 1987.
Rebecca and Bill had two children, son-in-law, Charles V. Jarman and Joyce Jarman, V. Lynn Hickman and daughter-in-law, D. Eilene Hickman. She is survived by two children, six grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Scott and Lorrine Hickman, two brothers, Ballard and Paul Cardon; and two sisters, Lucille Reading and Margaret Hickman.
Funeral services were held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Thursday, October 14, 1993, at 12 noon. Friends called at the mortuary Thursday morning from 10 to 11:45 a.m.
Interment was in the Logan City Cemetery.
