Phillip Jed Hart, age 72, passed away in his sleep on May 31, 2024, at his home in Magna, Utah.

Phillip was born September 17, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jeddie Woodrow Hart and Camille Bright Hart. He married Debera Ann Whatcott in 1977.

Phillip served in the Air Force Reserves and after working twenty-six years at Kennecott, he went on to be a truck driver. He loved reading and collecting books, even publishing one called “The Book of Imaginary Indians”. He achieved a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kung Fu. He loved his family, and they enjoyed many vacations together at various National Parks. He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Debera Ann, son Arthur Jed, daughter Julia Ann and sister Jane Hunt. He was preceded in death by his father Jed, mother Camille and sister Ellin.

A memorial service where family and friends are invited to share memories will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. For those unable to attend, services will be streamed via Zoom.
