NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Funeral services for Dr. Parley Merrell Pratt, who died Aug. 13, 1977 of pneumonia, were held Aug. 16.
Born Nov. 21, 1918, Virden, N.M. Married Hallie Marie Cardon, Aug. 4, 1944. Professor of marketing, Middle Tennessee State University.
Survivors: wife; 2 sons, 2 daughters, Mrs. Khoserow (Marcella) Fatemi, Tehran, Iran; Parley Merrell Jr., Mrs. Donna Marie Decker, both Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Vern, Dallas, Tex.; 3 grandchildren; 5 brothers, Dr. Parker, Riverside, Calif.; Emron, Barton, both Phoenix, Ariz.; Gerald M. El Paso, Tex.; Percy W., Bountiful.

Funeral services were held in Nashville, Tenn., August 16, 1977, for Dr. Parley Merrell Pratt, who died August 13, 1977, of pneumonia from complications of cancer. He was born November 21, 1918, in Verden, New Mexico, grew up in Colonia Dublan, Mexico. He was married to Hallie Marie Cardon August 4, 1944.
HE WAS graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in business administration; taught school at South Davis Junior High and Bountiful High School, received his MA in marketing from Harvard Business School and a PhD in marketing at Ohio State University.
Dr. Pratt was assistant professor at University of Texas, associate professor of economics at BYU, professor of marketing at University of Hawaii and was dean of School of Business Administration at Abadan Institute of Technology at Abadan, Iran. At the time of his death, he was professor of marketing at Middle Tennessee State University at Murfreesboro, Tenn.
HE IS survived by his wife and four children. Mrs. Donna Marie Decker, Murfreesboro; Marcella (Mrs. Khoserow Fatemi) of Tehran, Iran; Parley Merrell Pratt, Jr., Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and Vern Pratt, Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren.
He is also survived by five brothers: Barton, Phoenix, Ariz.; his twin brother, Dr. Parker Pratt, Riverside, Calif.; Emron Pratt, Phoenix, Ariz., Gerald M. Pratt, El Paso, Tex.; and Perry W. Bratt, Bountiful.
