The flowers you see are not withering, they are bowing their heads because you left us today. Nana, you left a hole too big to fill and for that, you’ll never be forgotten by those who knew you.
Pamela Jean Lamoreaux was born April 21, 1953 to Raymond W. and Lucy (Cardon) Lamoreaux in Mesa Arizona.
She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Paul Thompson, on August 12, 1971. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple on August 30, 1972.
Pam was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she never wavered from her testimony. She put her own trials aside to serve others. Through her selfless acts of service, she was a an inspiration to everyone she touched. Everyone who knew Pam felt the love she had for them. Her arms were always open and she was always willing to help no matter what she had going on in her own life. She continually put others needs in front of her own needs.
Pam instilled the meaning of family in each of her children; Jason (Brooke) Thompson , Emily (Craig) Campbell, Jeffrey (Penny) Thompson, Jenny (Travis) Harris, Amanda (Brandon) Gregory; who in turn, passed it on to their children. Pam gave a piece of herself to each of her 14 grandchildren: Kelsey, Jake, Landon, Kloe, Graycee, Saige, Rhyle, Kaydi, Gavin, Hayden, Adelynne, Bentley, Caprice, Declan, and her great grandchild Ayda. Nana is now taking care of her second great grandchild, Jaymeson, until it is time to meet his Mommy and Daddy in December.
For 27 years, Pam made this world a more beautiful place by sharing her love of flowers. Up until the week before her passing while her strength began to falter, she pushed through to touch one more family’s life, no matter the sacrifice.
She battled cancer for nearly two years with the caring doctors, nurses and healthcare team at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Each and every visit, she would make it a point to climb the stairs to show herself that she was strong enough to keep fighting. Although she did not get to ring the bell at Huntsman Cancer Hospital, she was able to have her last request fulfilled by Inspiration Hospice to return to her home and be surrounded by her family in her final days.
Her family takes solace in knowing that she was embraced by the loving arms of her Savior and her loving parents as well as her three siblings; William Ray, Jack Wayne, Lucy Suzanne, and the many others who preceded her in death. Her surviving siblings, Tom Lamoreaux, Carolyn Markle, Beverly (Bennie) Hall, James (Margo) Lamoreaux, and Allyson (Neal) Hargrave will miss her dearly until they meet again.
Her family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for her at Huntsman Cancer Hospital as well to Inspiration Hospice for their care in her final days.
Nana, “we love you forever and ever”, “to the moon and back”, ” love you more”, and “we love you longer.”
