Oran L. Morrill was born April 20, 1919, in Tridell, Utah where he attended school and was a star basketball player. After High School he served in the U.S. Army for 4 years.
He married Wanda Cardon in El Paso, Texas. They were sealed later on August 3, 1944 in the Manti Temple. He was an active member of the L.D.S. Church, serving in 2 Bishoprics.
After working at Geneva Steel for 33 years, he retired and moved to St. George with his family. They lived there for 16 years then moved to Pleasant Grove.
Oran was well known for having beautiful yards, flowers and gardens. He was a very hard worker and taught his children to work hard as well. His sense of humor always made his grandchildren laugh. He loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wanda Cardon Morrill; his four children, Wanda Rae, Beth Elaine, Oran Leslie, and Marvin D.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Orem City Cemetery, 1500 N. 800 East, Orem. Viewings were held at the Berg Mortuary in Orem, 500 North State Street on Monday, September 25, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the services.
