UINTAH – Norman Harry Anderson, 79, of Uintah, died in an Ogden nursing home Monday night of causes incident to age.

Mr. Anderson was born June 22, 1889, in Ogden, a son of Andrew and Josephine J. Nelson Anderson.

He was reared and educated in Uintah and graduated from Weber Academy.

On Dec. 1, 1915, he was married to Gretta I. Kendell in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died July 18, 1968.

A lifelong resident of Uintah, he had farmed. He had been custodian for the Weber County School District, retiring in 1954. He was formerly employed by the Utah Power and Light Co.

He was formerly active in the PTA. He was a member of the Uintah LDS Ward and had been a ward clerk, counselor in the bishopric, home teacher, and served on the South Ogden Stake High Council. From 1910 to 1912 he served a mission to Norway.

Surviving are one son and two daughters, Carl N. Anderson, Mrs. Phyllis Dolin, both of Ogden; Mrs. Jack (Inez) Fife, Phoenix Ariz.; seven grandchildren, one great-grand-child.

Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Allen Leslie Anderson, Alma Milton Anderson, Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Hock, Mrs. John (Martha) Alberts, all of Ogden; Wando J. Anderson, Blackfoot, Idaho; Mrs. Jennie Harris, Pocatello, Idaho.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary in Ogden with Bishop Nathan C. Tanner of the Uintah Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the Uintah Ward Relief Society room Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial in the Uintah Cemetery.
