Funeral Services for Melba L. Guild 71 of Piedmont, Wyoming were held at the Crandall Funeral Home Friday, May 23, 1980 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend William Ellington officiated.
The poem “When I Must Leave You” was read by her granddaughter Deb Phillips. The family prayer was given by her grandson Kelly Guild. Organ prelude and postlude music was played by grandson Scott Christiansen. The eulogy was given by Mr. Van Moss. A scripture reading was presented by a grandson Leonard Guild. A poem entitled “I Rember” written by her grandson, Russ Anderson, was read by him. A vocal selection was presented by Mr. Hubert Benn, “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied by Mrs. Janice Bodine. “The Twenty-third Psalm” was sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. Donna Dickerson, Mrs. Glenna Jones, Mrs. Connie Lunsford, and Mrs. JoAnn Thornock, accompanied by Mrs. Linda Barker. The pallbearers were grandsons: Curtis Christiansen, Kent Anderson, Rick Guild, Terry Christiansen, Chad Anderson, Kip Christiansen and grandsons-in-law, Mick Romanowsky and Al Chmiel. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Leonard Guild, Russ Anderson, Scott Christiansen, Kelly Guild, Adam Guild and Doug Guild. Final resting place was in the Evanston Masonic Cemetery with the grave being dedicated by father Bill Espenshade.
Mrs. Guild died Monday, May 19, 1980 at the Summit County Hospital in Coalville, Utah. She was born October 18, 1908 in Evanston, Wyoming to Charles Eli and Freda Frances Cook Morby.
She married Lester Thomas Guild on July 22, 1925 in Evanston, Wyoming. He died December 29, 1973.
Survivors include: two sons, Lester Lee of Evanston, and Earl of Piedmont, Wyoming; three daughters, Mrs Fred (Lois) Christiansen, Piedmont, Mrs. William (Lucille) Anderson, Evanston; Mrs. Ranold (Joyce) Phillips, Evanston; nineteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one brother, Al E. Morby, Ogden Utah.
