Obituary

Cheyenne – Funeral Liturgy for Mary Guild, 87 will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Cathedral by the Rev. Carl Beavers.  A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Burial will be at the Olivet Cemetery.  

Mrs. Guild died April 16, 1995, at the Untied Medical Center, West.  She was born Jan 14, 1908, in Omaha, Neb., to Joseph and Veronica Kisicki.  She lived in eastern Nebraska until moving with her family to Cheyenne in 1925.  She was employed by the Cheyenne Creamery Company and later by the Internal Revenue Service until 1941.  

On Aug. 4, 1941 she married Lorin Guild in Cheyenne.  They lived in Cheyenne until 1946, when they moved to Wheatland.  Her husband practiced law there and Mrs. Guild owned and operated the Platte county Abstract Company.  

Following her husband’s retirement in 1973, the couple wintered in Yuma, Ariz.  The returned to Cheyenne in 1993.  Mrs. Guild was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and Cathedral Guild.  She was a past member of Daughter of Iasbella, Moody’s Club in Wheatland and Wheatland Country Club.  

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Kisicki of Cheyenne and Theodore Kisicki of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; a sister Helen McGuire of Bean Station, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceding her in death were her husband who died Sept. 6, 1994; two children David Guild and Rosalie Guild; her parents; two brothers, Stanley Kisicki and Louis Kisicki; and two sisters, Bernice Heater and Loretta Kisicki.  

Memorials either to the Platte County Library or to St. Mary’s School Foundation Fund would be appreciated.  The Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes is in charge of arrangements.
