Mary M. Cross

EVANSTON, Wyo. – Mrs. Mary Madeline Cross, 88, Uinta county resident for the past 78 years, died at her home in Piedmont,Wyo., on Jan. 30, of infirmities due to age.

Mrs. Cross was born in Ogden, Jan 7, 1856, and came with her parents, Charles and Mary Cardon Guild, to Piedmont, Uinta county, when 12 years old. She was the widow of John Cross who died in 1914.

Mrs. Guild was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Mass., and a charter member of the Christian Science society of Evanston.

Surviving are three daughters, Miss May Cross, Piedmont; Mrs. Allen Sellers, Lyman; and Mrs. Besse Williams, Portland, Ore.; two sons, Earl D. Cross, Portland, Ore., and Guild L. Cross, Mountain View. Wyo., and one sister, Mrs. Dan Gamble, Morgan.
