Mary Sharp Storey Harris, age 87, died February 8, 2008. She was born January 3, 1921 in Evanston, Wyoming to James Murray Sharp and Mary Edith (Mamie) Byrne. She graduated from Evanston High School, attended Brigham Young University, and graduated from Stevens Henager School of Business. She worked for Utah Oil Refining Company, Reconstruction Finance Corporation, and Utah Power and Light. She retired from Utah Power and Light in 1983 after working there for 32 years. At retirement she was serving as the Assistant Treasurer.

She married Print Edward Storey on February 16, 1941 in Evanston, Wyoming. They were later divorced. She married Arvil A. Harris November 24, 1965. She was preceded in death by a son, Terrel Brent Storey, and is now survived by a daughter Tawna Storey Weight and her husband, Roger, with their children: Sean and Karen, Aimee and Brian, Brandon, Trevor and Shannon, Natalie and Bruce, Derek and Chanla of Spanish Fork, Utah. She had 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by four stepchildren, Vivian of Rhode Island; Allen, Tony, and Jeanette, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, all of Pocatello, Idaho; one sister, June Robbins and her husband, Clayton; and one brother, James Robert Sharp and his wife Katie, of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mary dearly loved her family and served them joyfully whenever she had the opportunity. She loved to read, made beautiful quilts, made fabulous chocolate chip cookies, and shared her many talents with her grandchildren. She served faithfully in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint auxiliaries and rendered significant civic service including the Utah Opera Guild, Junior Achievement, Executive Women International, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and Ex Libris Literary Club.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak View Ward Chapel, 3477 E. River Bottoms Rd., Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on Monday evening, February 11, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, or on Tuesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her name at the American Lung Association of Utah, 1930 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106.
