MARY RANTS STOUT

December 12, 1927 – September 13, 2010 Mary Rants Stout, 82, was born in Detroit, Mich., on Dec. 12. 1927 to Frank Forrest Rants and Isabel Calvin Rants, moving to Boulder City in 1931. Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Nathan L. Stout, son Troy Crosland, grandson Gary Crosland, three great grandchildren and a brother, Jack Rants.
She is preceded in death by her son, Nathan Forrest Stout, and daughter, Janiece Stout Crosland.
Mary was a loving wife and mother who spent most of her adult life caring for her quadriplegic son, Nathan, and her daughter, Jan, who was in fragile health the last 10 years of her life.
There were many people who benefited from this gentle lady’s caring ways. Mary was inspired by nature, and had a love of animals and nature. She was interested in everything with a never-ending curiosity and desire for learning.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Pal Memorial Park – Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway. Arrangements are being handled by Palm Mortuary in Henderson.
