Marilynn (Cross) Ballard

MOUNTAIN VIEW – Funeral services for Marilynn (Cross) Ballard, 67, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Mountain View Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery.

She died Jan. 23, 1999, in Bakersfield, Calif., after a battle with stomach cancer.

She was born May 19, 1931, in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Guild L. and Lenny M. (Davidson) Cross.

She resided in the Bridger Valley for the last 20 years. Most recently, she worked as a nurse for IHC.

She attended the Presbyterian Church in Mountain View and was recognized for her leadership in the local AA and Al-Anon groups.

Survivors include her sister, Beverly Turner of Afton; two daughters, Ginger Hazelbaker and Tami “Brooke” Watson, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; four sons, Rex Henry Ballard and Russel Leroy Ballard, both of Cody, Richard Austin Ballard of Waterloo, Iowa, and Rede Christian Ballard of Newcastle; and 15 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Crandall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Marilynn (Cross) Ballard, age 67, passed away Jan. 23, 1999, in Bakersfield, CA, after a battle with stomach cancer.

She was born May 19, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Guild L. and Lenny M. (Davidson) Cross. Marilynn resided in the Bridger Valley for the last 20 years.
