Margaret W. Nielsen, 91, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 29, 1916 in Morgan, Utah, daughter of Daniel Oliver Williams and Ansta Irene Gamble Williams.
She married Grant Sommers Sielsen on June 6, 1938 in Morgan, Utah. He died July 15 2002.
She attended school in Morgan and graduated from Morgan High School. She also attended Utah State University and graduated from L.D.S. Business College.
She worked for Morgan City Corporation as Deupty City Clerk and Treasurer for 18 years.
Margaret was a charter member and past president of the Culturettes Club, charter member of the Morgan BPW Club and past member of the Beta Chapter Literacy Club. She worked for years assisting county nurses with well baby clinics and the Morgan schools inoculation programs.
Margaret loved the outdoors and spent countless enjoyable hours fishing, boating and traveling in their motorhome.
She loved and enjoyed her two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Surviving are one son, Stephen G. Nielson (Janice), Morgan; two granddaughters Nichole (Matt) Slate, Morgan; Lori Nielsen, Morgan; Three great grandchildren: Trevor, Jessica, and Carson Slate of Morgan.
Also surviving are two sisters: Barbara Burton, Redding, California, and Peggy Blaisdell, Tucson, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant; brothers Gamble and Dan Jr..

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Morgan Stake Chapel. It was Margaret’s desire to have a closed casket visitation but she would very much love to have friends and family call at the church to express their respects and condolences to her beloved family prior to services from 10 to 11:45 a.m on Saturday.
Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
