AMERICAN FORK – Lucy Cardon Lamoreaux, 65, of American Fork, died Sat., Aug 15, 1981 in a Salt Lake hospital. She was born July 12, 1916 in Tucson, Arizona, to Louis Paul and Edith Jemima Done Cardon. She married Raymond W. Lamoreaux Aug 9, 1935. Their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple.

She was educated in Arizona schools. She graduated in three years as valedictorian from Chandler High School. She graduated from Gila Junior College and received the Pace Scholarship Award for highest grades. She was active in the LDS Church, and she served in many positions in Arizona and Utah.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond W. Lamoreaux, three sons and five daughters, Jack Lamoreaux, Spanish Fork; Suzanne Lamoreaux, James Lamoreaux, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Drake (Carolyn) Markle, Orem; Thomas Lamoreaux, Mrs. Bennie (Beverly) Hall, Mrs. Richard (Pamela) Thompson all of American Fork; Allyson Lamoreaux, Hawaii; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother and five sisters, Mrs. Marion (Edith) Thatcher, Mrs Charles (Mary) Clouse, Mrs. Harry (Florence) Jones, all of Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Stanley (Ellen) Carr, Emanuel Cardon, both of West Covina, Calif., and Mrs Butch (Ethel) Heldt, Sonora, Mexico. She was preceded in death by one son, and her parents.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the American Fork 14th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery.
