HYDE PARK – Lucile Lamb Elwood, 36, 126 South 1st East, Hyde Park, died July 16, 1983, in a Salt Lake City hospital following surgery.
She was born March 8, 1947, in Logan, the daughter of Frank E. and Helen Cardon Lamb. She married Lynn Elwood July 7, 1967, in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a lifelong resident of Hyde Park. She worked at Utah State University Extension Service for 16 years. She was a 4-H leader, serving on local and Cache council levels. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Sunday School organist and young women’s advisor. She also worked in Primary as a teacher and secretary and was involved in the Relief Society. She was an accomplished seamstress and talented artist. She attended Cache County Schools and graduated from Sky View High School and Seminary. She also attended Utah State University.
Surviving are her husband of Hyde Park; two sons and three daughters, Rodney Lynn Elwood, Robert Alan Elwood, Renee Elwood, Raelyn Elwood, and Rebecca Elwood, all of Hyde Park; her mother of Hyde Park; three brothers and one sister, Robert C. Lamb, Logan; Frank Earl Lamb, Buena Park Calif.; John C. Lamb, Sound Beach, N.Y.; Mrs. Dean (Margaret) Elwood, Hyde Park.
She was preceded in death by her father and one sister Phebe.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon in the Hyde Park Ward chapel, 65 East Center, with Bishop Von T. Mendenhall officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Cranney Mortuary and at the church Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery.
