KANESVILLE – Louis Rulon Cardon, 23, of Kanesville, died yesterday at his home after an extended illness.

Mr. Cardon had been employed at the Varney Canning Co. the past year as a lift operator.

He was a priest in the LDS Kanesville Ward and had been active in Boy Scout work in Lewiston, Utah. 

He was born July 26, 1932, in Hansel Valley, Box Elder County, a son of Louis Rulon and Harriet Wadman Cardon. In 1937 he moved to Ogden and to Lewiston, Utah, in 1940. He returned to Kanesville in 1946.

He was educated in Lewiston and Hooper and attended Weber High School.

Surviving are his parents, two brothers and three sisters, John Paul, Steven Lee, Reatha Mary, V. LaRae and Janis Adele Cardon, Kanesville.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Funeral Chapel, 3408 Washington Blvd., Bishop Alvin B. Anderson of the LDS Kanesville Ward officiating.

Friends my call at the mortuary tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until services. Burial will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park.

KANESVILLE, Weber County – Louis Rulon Cardon, 23, former resident of Lewiston, died Sunday in Kanesville at the family residence after an extended illness.

He was born July 26, 1932, in Hansel Valley, Box Elder County, a son of Louis R. and Harriet Wadman Cardon. He lived there until 1937 and was a resident of Lewiston from 1940-46.

He was active in Boy Scout work in Lewiston and had attended school there. At the time of his death, he was a priest in the Kanesville ward.

Surviving are his parents, 2 brothers and three sisters: John Paul Cardon, Steven Lee Cardon, Reatha Mary, V. LaRae Cardon and Janis Adele Cardon, all of Kanesville.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Funeral Chapel in Ogden. Friends may call at the mortuary in Ogden Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday until time of services. Burial will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park.
