Lon “Bob” Dean Cardon passed away peacefully April 9, 2018, at his home in Stanfield. 

Bob was born September 17, 1930 in Ely, Nevada, the oldest son of Emanuel Alonzo Cardon and Thelma Warren.  His family moved to Camas when he was a baby and then to Vancouver, WA during WWII.  He attended Vancouver High School and Clark College. He met his wife Donna Hall at a neighborhood party.  They were married in Vancouver, WA on June 16th 1950.  

Bob and Donna spent most of their lives in Vancouver where he owned Cardon’s Foodland.  Bob was a member of the Elks and a former Exalted Ruler.

Bob enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, bowling, and golfing.  They built a house in Ocean Shores, WA where he enjoyed spending time at the beach and having family come visit.  Bob will be remembered for his belly flops into the pool and the outrageous stories he would tell.

 After Bob retired, he and Donna moved to Stanfield, OR where they made many wonderful friends.  He served in his church in numerous capacities and diligently helped those around him.

He is survived by: his wife of 67 years, Donna; Brother, Kenneth (Ina) Cardon; Daughters: Valaree (Gary) Adams of Vancouver, WA and Sandie (Lu) Morse of Stanfield, OR; five grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by: his parents Emanuel Alonzo Cardon and Thelma Warren, brother Donald Cardon, and sister Betty J Witt-Bridger.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 5:30 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 850 SW 11th St , Hermiston, Oregon.  

Graveside service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, Washington.
