TOOELE – Lloyd M. Christensen, 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, died Aug. 27, 1980, in Tooele Valley Hospital.
Born Oct. 17, 1904, in Aurora, Utah, to Joseph and Tillie Curtis Christensen. Married Irene Cardon, March 14, 1924, Hinckley, Utah; later solemnized, St. George LDS Temple. She preceded him in death. Married Golda Stewart Talbott, Sept. 5, 1974. Active member, LDS Church; served as stake missionary and ward clerk. At time of his death, high priest. Retired from Tooele Army Depot.
Survivors: wife, Tooele; son, Lloyd K.; daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Edna) Sampson, Mrs. Eugene (Freya) Johnson, Mrs. Frank (Bettie) Martinez. Mrs. Wayn (Mavis) Brinkerhoff, Mrs. John (Janice) Knab, Loretta Giebink, Mrs. Jack (Sharon) Tomlin; eight stepchildren; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; stepmother, Lula Payne Christensen; sisters, L. Sarah Fowles; Cleo Smithson; Mrs. Ray (Verna) Matheson; brothers, Grand J., Don M., Garn G.
Funeral services Saturday, 1 p.m. Tooele 4th Ward. Friends may call Tate Mortuary, Friday, 6-8 p.m., and at the ward one hour prior to services. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery.
