TOOELE-LeRoy Phillip Cardon, 74, died Monday in a Tooele hospital after an illness. Born Feb. 11, 1882, Taylor, Ariz., to Joseph and Salina Walker Cardon.
Married to Marguretta Call. Miner and farmer in early life, later employed at Tooele Ordnance Depot. Member LDS Church served mission to Mexico.
Survivors: sons, daughters, LeRoy, Woodrow, Tooele; Junius, Sunset; Marvin, Los Angeles; Mrs. Fay Gunnell, Ogden; Mrs. Loretta Dymock, Clover; Mrs. Belva Call, San Diego; 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, six brothers, six sisters. Funeral Friday, 1 p.m., Tooele First-Sixth LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Thursday, 7-9 p.m., at Tate Mortuary, Burial, Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, Salt Lake City.
