MOUNTAIN VIEW – Funeral services for Lennie Maria “Marie” Cross, 79, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Mountain View LDS Ward.
Mrs. Cross Died Dec. 8, 1988, at her residence in Mountain View. She was born Jan. 2, 1909, in Greenville, Utah, to Emery Hans and Lennie Cooper Barton Davidson.
On Oct. 16, 1929, she married Guild LeRoy Cross in Evanston, He died on Dec 26, 1955.
Mrs. Cross worked as a bookkeeper for the electric company. She loved to paint and write poetry and was a member of the LDS Church.
She is survived by one son, John M. Cross of Mountain View; two daughters, Marilyn Cross Ballard of Mountain View, and Beverly Jean Cross Turner of Guatemala City, Guatemala; one brother, Jackson Davidson of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Estella Young of Long Beach Calif., and Mary Enstrom Quinter of Kansas; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Senior Citizens Center in Mountain View.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Evanston Masonic Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. Crandall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
