16 Jan 1964 – 4 Apr 2024
Stepson of Kent Richard Cardon
Kevin Lynn Thayer of Logan passed away surrounded by loved ones on 4/4/2024 due to complications of a massive heart attack. He was born in Logan on 1/16/64 to Arnold Ambrose Thayer and Karen Bouwhuis.
Kevin had many challenges in life beginning with being lactose intolerant as an infant and being in and out of the hospital for over one year. He got his first tooth in the hospital with pneumonia.
Kevin always loved music and could sing along with his parents in perfect pitch before he could speak. He could mirror any noise he heard and learned to play the guitar the same way. He enjoyed a wide variety of music and developed a great singing voice. He often listened to the kind of music he loved.
He was always happy and sweet with a childlike sense of humor that drew people to him. He had a lifelong love for cats. He was very talented, creative and enjoyed figuring out how things worked. He took care of everything he owned.
After graduation Kevin joined the Army Reserves and spent time in Korea where he bought his first guitar. He spent most of his life in Utah but lived in California and Washington. While there he married Lori Bard. They later divorced. He was very kind and loved others unconditionally with firm loyalty, making friends everywhere he went and helping many find their way in life.
Kevin met the love of his life, Kristin Lamb, and together they made a home full of happiness and love. Their time together was a great blessing to both of them.
Kevin was a hard worker with a high level of intelligence that he acquired through diligent self-motivated study that led him to accomplish his lifetime dream of owning his own successful business. This brought him great pleasure and peace.
Kevins last gift of love and compassion was that of being on organ donor, saving and blessing the lives of countless individuals he didn’t even know.
Kevin will be greatly missed but joy fills our souls with admiration for this humble man who shared his love, happiness, laughter and tears with us.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father Arnold, his brother Michael Stimpson, and uncles Jon and David Bouwhuis.
He is survived by his life partner Kristin Lamb; his mother Karen (Kent) Cardon; his siblings Tiffany (Steve) Hill, Holli Anderson (Douglas Cash), Laurie (Joel) Dewberry, David (Rena) Thayer and stepbrother Tyler Cardon; his uncle Steven (Shirley) Bouwhuis, aunts Lenore and Phyllis Bouwhuis and Evelyn Tanner; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a celebration of life held in Kevins honor on Saturday, May 4th at 1pm in Willow Park for family and friends. Services were provided by PremierFuneral.com
