Kevin Lloyd Kadel, 48, returned to the arms of our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, due to complications of pneumonia.

He was born on March 3, 1963, in /Burley, Idaho t Lloyd L. and Ethel Case Kadel. He married Jody Anderson on October 10, 1998, in Clinton, Utah. They were sealed for time and eternity on December 28, 2007, in the Ogden LDS Temple. On May 26, 2010, their family was completed when they were given the gift of their baby girl, Sarah Ethel. On March 15, 2011, she legally became theirs and eternally became theirs on March 26.

Kevin grew up in the Paul, Idaho area where he enjoyed life to the fullest. He has always been a fun-loving person and jokester. He had more than his share of accidents as a child and at age 18, he was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident that opened the door for him to later come to Utah.

He graduated from Boise State University before beginning his career with the Forest Service. He transferred from Boise to Ogden in 1990 and has since worked for the Regional Office.

Kevin joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in October 2006. He served as a Primary teacher and a counselor in the Sunday School. He has a deep love for our Savior and knew that he was always being held in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.

His hobbies involved just about anything outdoors. He loved to camp, rid his “4-wheeler,” play with the dogs, ride snowmobiles, have campfires in the back yard, play with Sarah, and visit anyone in the neighborhood. He also enjoyed reading and playing games. He will be missed by everyone who met him.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Jody, and daughter, Sarah, of Roy; his siblings, Brian Kadel, Heyburn, ID; Jan (Steve) Rekow, Lakeview, OR; Kristi (Pat) Ryan, Fruitland, ID; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Doug and parents, Lloyd and Ethel. We know they, as well as others, welcomed him back home.

A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at McKay Dee Hospital ICU for the loving care they gave Kevin and his family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24th at 11 a.m. at the Wheatridge Ward Chapel, 5080 South 3100 West, Roy.

The family will meet with friends on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at America First Credit Union in Sarah’s name.
