Kenneth Larson Sterchi passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2012, surrounded by love. The son of Louise and Robert Sterchi, he was born on August 18, 1948, in Albuquerque, NM. Kenneth grew up in various cities in New Mexico before moving to California and Nevada. Ken never lost his love of all things Southwestern, however, and returned to Albuquerque in 2010.
Ken is survived by his brother, Bill Sterchi and his wife, Rose, sister The Rev. Margaret Sterchi, sister, Arline Worsham and her husband, John and brother, Bob Sterchi and his wife, Jule, niece, Shannon Eghlimi and her husband, Cameron and their sons, Ryan and Sean, niece, Anna Worsham, cousins, and numerous friends he considered as family.
Ken will be long remembered by all who knew him for his quick smile, sense of humor, generous spirit and steadfast love and support for his family and friends.
A service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque with a reception to follow. For those so desiring, contributions in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
