Trooper Wayne Durrant said Burnham was northbound in the southbound lane of traffic during dense fog when he drove head-on into a semi-tractor with two trailers, driven by William L. Kay, 53, Panguitch. Burnham was in a compact car.

A compact car driven by Tracy Carver, 22, Provo, then came out of the heavy fog to collide with the semi-truck, and a compact car driven by Garyling, Achiu, 23, Provo, struck the Carver car.
