EDEN – Kenneth Arvon Long, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2003 with all of his family around him.

He was born Aug 4, 1933 in Bennett, Utah to Winfred C. and Delma Rudy Long. He married his sweetheart, Colleen Thomas on Sep 21, 1971 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a stake missionary twice for the White Rocks Indian mission, as well as stake missionary for his ward and stake in Eden. He was a high priest in the Eden 1st Ward.

He loved to serve others, loved singing and music, loved fishing, horseback riding, gardening, woodworking, genealogy, loved the outdoors and watching his girls and grandchildren. Kenneth was extremely friendly to everyone and loved walking his dog.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen; three daughters, Camille L. Myers, Denise (Brandon) Hadfield; Sharilee (Jacob) Bailey; four sisters, Glenice (Don) Palmer, VaLois Morrill, Larain (Gerald) Mobley, Beverly (Wayne) Cantwell; two brothers, Norman (Joyce) Long and Lowell (Fern) Long. Also surviving are seven 8/9 grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jacob and Chandler Myers, Kaleb Hadfield, McKenna, Madison and Kylee Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred C. Long and Delma Rudy; two brothers, Gordon and Robert; two sisters, Ruth and Ina Rae Long.
