PRESTON – Dr. Kelton Oran Merrill, 58, died Tuesday at his home of natural causes.
He was born Nov. 11, 1916, in Richmond, Utah, a son of Marriner Oran and Flossie Mildred Webb Merrill. He married Helen Marie Christensen Nov. 23, 1938, in Preston.
He was a veteran of World War II. and had been an optometrist in Preston since 1942.
Survivors include his widow of Preston; sons and daughters, Leslie K. Merrill and Annette Merrill, both of Rexburg, Kathy Merrill of Trenton, N.J. and David Lee Merrill and Karen Merrill, both of Preston; four grandchildren; his father of Preston, and a brother and sister. Dr. M.W. Merrill of Logan, Utah and Mrs. Maxine McKnut of Santa Barbara, Calif.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Preston South Stake Center. Friends may call at Webb Mortuary Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to service time.
