Katie Alvina Guild was born 4 Feb 1876 at Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming. Katie died 22 Nov 1898 at Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming, and was buried at the Guild Cemetery, Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming.
Katie was born when Charles was almost 50 years old and was the joy of the family.
In 1898, when she was 22 and attending school in Logan, she took ill one day and died the next. She was the first to be buried in the Guild Cemetery which is a part of the homestead in Piedmont.
The article from PROGRESSIVE MEN OF WYOMING wrote that: “Katie A., a young lady of brilliant promise, who, after graduating at Brigham Young College at Logan, Utah died at Piedmont, on November 23, 1898, at the age of twenty-two years and nine months, and was buried in the Guild cemetery on the Piedmont ranch.
