Kathleen passed away peacefully on Thursday April 18th, with family and her caretaker Harriett by her side. We wish to thank Harriett for her months of service to Kathy, caring for her with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Kathy was born on January 26, 1946, in Caracas Venezuela. Her childhood years, she lived in various cities in Venezuela, Brazil, and Argentina.

With a life-long desire to study nursing, Kathy attended the University of Portland and participated in a study abroad program in Europe before meeting Ronald Philip Hauck who became her husband in June of 1968. She graduated in 1968 with a degree in Spanish. After the births of their daughter Deborah and son David they relocated to Livermore, California. Kathy’s determination to become a nurse sent her back to school, even after welcoming son Ryan, to complete a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She graduated from Cal State Hayward in 1986 and relocated to Santa Rosa, California to work at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. She earned her certification in Oncology where she worked until her retirement.

Kathy lived her life to serve and help others. She was involved in Resurrection Parish, Redwood Empire Food Bank, Kairos/Cursillo and many clinics in West Sonoma County. She loved particularly serving the Hispanic community with whom she would work in Spanish. Kathy volunteered as a Nurse with Rotoplast International Saving Smiles, Changing Lives, traveling to South America and China performing cleft lip and palate surgeries.

Kathy loved above all and enjoyed cards, dancing and being with her dear friends at Oakmont. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Marion Lillian Clegg, her father David Cardon Clegg and her stepmother Martha Clegg.

She is survived by her children Deborah Breazeale (Jason), David Hauck (Heather), and Ryan Hauck (Jolie); her sisters Carol Cox (Paco), Christine Shimada (Jerry), and Lilly Greenberg (Jason); her grandchildren Rebekah (Nicole), Matthew, Josiah, Caleb, Noah, Asher, and Hannah; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial services will be at Daniel’s Chapel of the Roses on Saturday June 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at Iron and Vine at noon. In lieu of flowers, Kathy requested donations to Sutter Hospice as they made her last months on earth very comfortable.
