Joseph Cardon Clayson

Joseph Cardon Clayson, 81 of Provo, died September 28, 1992 at his home. He was born July 9, 1911 in Colonial Juarez, Mexico to George Esson and Edith Cardon Clayson. He married Winnifred Farr, May 20, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, living in the Bonneville 2nd Ward. He had served as a stake missionary and was an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple. He loved nature, loved hunting and fishing and kept an immaculate yard and garden. He was an accomplished craftsman and automotive electrician. Most of all, he loved his wife, family and many special friends.

He is survived by his wife of Provo, two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Jolene) Pace and Mrs. Howard (Carol) VanOrman, both of Bountiful; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Robinson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Frank J (Florence) Chapple and Faye Richan, both of Provo. 

He was preceded in death by a son, Boyd Farr Clayson.

Services were held Thursday, at 11 1.m. at the Bonneville 2nd LDS Ward, 100 South at 900 East, Provo. Friends called at the Relief Society Room of the Chapel Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. or Thursday one hour prior to services. 

Burial was in the Provo City cemetery. Funeral directors: Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove
