For John L. Clawson, 78
THATCHER-Funeral services for John LeRoy Clawson, 78, who died Sunday in the Safford Inn Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today in the Thatcher Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the Clawson home in Thatcher.
Born in Taylor, Mr. Clawson had spent all his life in Arizona. For many years, he was Graham County deputy county assessor, and a clerk for the Producer’s Gin in Safford.
He is survived by his wife, Sophronia; three daughters, Marguerite Clawson, Thatcher; Mrs. Lois Allred, Mesa; and Mrs JoAnn Gordon, Morenci; two half-brothers, C. A. Johnson, Lakeside, and J. A. Clawson, Tucson; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be in Thatcher Cemetery
