With love, we say goodbye to our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, John Kenneth Alexander, age 84.
Born March 1, 1912 in Wyoming to Mabel and James Alexander. He died on January 4, 1997 in West Valley City, Utah. Married Sally Tomita on July 25, 1936. He retired from Kennecott Copper in 1978. A good man who worked hard all his life, John enjoyed fixing things, gardening and baseball. He was devoted to his wife, who has suffered from Alzheimer’s the past five years. He was able to keep his independence until the end, living in his own home and driving his little truck.
Survived by his wife, Sally; children, Dan, Diana, James, Judy Bawden, Lisa Graham, and Bill; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Anderson and Mabel Northrup; brother, Leslie and sister-in-law and dear friend, LaVaughn Gray.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 1997 at 12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
