MAURO – John James Mauro passed away in Boulder Creek on February 10, 1995 at the age of 91. A native of New York, Mr. Mauro has lived in Santa Cruz County for the past 25 years. He designed and built many schools, commercial and government buildings as well as some residential homes in the San Jose area. He was a member of SIRS of Santa Cruz and enjoyed bowling.
Mr. Mauro is survived by his five children, Theresa Colby of San Jose, Ardell Gillingwater of Lodi, Dominic J Mauro of Kerrville, Texas, Larry S. Mauro of Reno, Nevada and Kerry Mauro of Mt. Shasta, CA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Wednesday, February 15th at Smith & Arnold’s Mortuary in the Pine Chapel. Grave side services were held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Contributions preferred to your favorite charity.
