Grandson of Philip Cardon and Martha Marie Tourn
Son of Jean Cardon and Anna Regula Furrer
OGDEN, July 28. — After an unsuccessful operation for appendicitis, John Herman Cardon, a well-known former resident of this city, passed away at the Ogden General hospital early Tuesday morning.
Deceased had been employed at Ely as manager of a branch of the Eccles Lumber company. For several weeks he has complained of intense pains in the region of the appendix, but the physicians at Ely have been treating him for a form of stomach trouble.
It was finally decided to have him brought here for an examination. With his wife and members of the family he reached the city Monday evening. An operation was immediately performed, but his disease was too far advanced to save his life.
Deceased was 44 years of age. His parents, three sisters and a brother, besides his wife, survive him.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 o’clock from the Lynn ward meeting house.
