AN ACE PILOT HAS LANDED MASH, JOHN DELMAR Age 79, of Riverside, passed away on 09/27/04 of cancer. John was born on 01/09/25 in Evanston, WY. He spent 33 years in the Air Force as a pilot, he retired in 1976. He retired as a Colonel for the USAA in 1976.
John received his BA from UCR after retirement. John is featured in the Guiness Book of Records for “Oldest Intercollegiate Golfer in the US”. Mr. & Mrs. Mash have been members of Canyon Crest Country Club since 1977.
John is survived by his Wife; Candy Mash of Riverside, CA., Daughters; Lisa Smith of Moreno Valley, CA. & Rebecca Azad of Los Angeles, Sons; David Mash of San Diego, Gary Jones of Tehachapi, CA., C. Roger Jones of Houston, TX., Sister; Barbara Montgomery of Ogden, UT., 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren (Sarah Age 11, Jacob Age 8 & Hollyann Age 5).
Funeral Services were held on 10/08, 11:15AM, at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to The American Heart Association.
