John David Cardon

John David Cardon, 80, well known resident of Ogden, died at twelve twenty-five this afternoon at his home, 605 Washington, after a long illness, due to old age.

He was born in Ogden, Aug. 5, 1861, a son of John and Anna Furror Cardon. He had been engaged for many years in extensive farming and fruit growing work. He was a member of the L. D. S. church and was in the elders quorm of the Fifteenth ward.

He was married Dec. 14, 1881, to Miss Elizabeth Nesser in the Logan temple.

Survivors include his widow and the following children: Mrs. Netta Stephens of Ogden; J. R. Cardon of Inkom, Idaho; Walter A. Cardon of Ogden; Bishop Ernest W. Cardon of West Warren; Lawrence M. Cardon of Trenton; Herman H. Cardon, Mrs. Hazel Coray, Miss Florence E. Cardon, all of Ogden; 25 grand-children, 12 great grand-children; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtillo Shaw of Ogden, and Mrs. William Show of Logan, and Mrs. W.D. Clegg of Los Angeles.

The body is at the Larkin and Sons’ mortuary.
