MOSCOW – John Dahlstrom Cardon, 66, former resident of Inkom and McCammon, died early Sunday, Oct 1, at the Good Samaritan Nursing home in Moscow.
He was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Inkom to John Royal and Anna Augusta Dahlstrom Cardon.
He married Jennie Stanger Dec. 14, 1952, and they later divorced.
Mr. Cardon farmed in Inkom, and later moved to McCammon, where he also operated a farm. He lived in Seattle for about four years and in Moscow for the last four years.
He was a member of the LDS Church, and enjoyed motorcycles and automobiles.
Survivors include two sons, John Phillip Cardon, Pocatello, and Christopher S. Cardon, Clarkston, Wash.; three daughters, Angela V. Cardon Moscow, Elizabeth Lou Cardon, Rexburg, and Mrs. Tim (Mellissa) Eichner, Troy; one brother, Royal D. Cardon, Caldwell; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Inkom LDS Chapel, with Bishop Rod Sileox of the Rapid Creek Ward officiating. The family will receive friends today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel, and Tuesday for one hour prior to services at the Inkom Chapel. Burial will be in the Inkom Cemetery.
