James Whitehead Obituary

James Vito Whitehead “J-Dub” James Vito Whitehead, age 18 lost a valiant battle with cancer while surrounded by his family on September 3, 2005. James was born in Salt Lake City, Utah April 27, 1987.

James loved life, the outdoors; camping, hiking, motocross and spending time with family and friends. He played competitive baseball and loved to play ball and to do things with his brothers. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. His personality made it easy for him to make friends wherever he went.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. James is survived by his parents, “My Dad”, James P. (Veronica) Whitehead, loving mom, Tami (Korey R.) Curtis, brothers, Kerry, Koleton, Anthony, Dominick, Devin, Zaine, Dehvon, sisters, Shawna, Khristal, grandparents, Gary and Vicci Keller, James and Patricia Whitehead, Maris Curtis, Karen Nielsen, Brian and Eileen Smith, great grandfather, VITO Catanazariti, great grandmother, Barbara Blumhagen, and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Kerry Nielsen, grandpa, Mike Nielsen. A special thanks to all of those who made James trip to Hawaii, and our dream come true. Also, thanks to the BMT Unit at the U. of U., Utah Cancer Specialists, and Life Path. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2005, at the Rose Canyon 1st Ward, 13768 So. Rose Canyon Rd. (6400 West), Herriman. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at the church and 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services on Thursday. Interment: Cleveland City Cemetery 3 p.m..
