WEST WEBER – James Edward Wadman, 70, of West Weber, died Saturday in St. Benedict’s Hospital after an extended illness.

Mr. Wadman was a retired farmer and rancher and had spent most of his life in Promontory and Ogden.

He was an elder in the LDS West Weber Ward.

On Oct. 25, 1906, he married Vida T. Shupe in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. She died March 15, 1936.

He was born Jan. 5, 1885, in Plain City, a son of John William and Margaret MacBride Wadman.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters: Vyeron C. Wadman, South Weber; James S. Wadman, Brigham City; Vallentine L. Wadman, Ogden; D. Milton Wadman, Chicago; Mrs. Rulon (Harriet) Cardon, Kanesville; Mrs. Illma Wright, West Weber; Mrs. Frank (Vida) Poppelton, Los Angeles; 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and one sister: Benjamin Wadman, Brigham City; Orson Wadman, Mrs. Sarah Shupe, Ogden.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Funeral Chapel, 3408 Washington Blvd., Boyd Hancock, bishop’s counselor in the Wes Weber Ward, officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until services. Burial will be in Ogden City cemetery.

Wadman of West Weber, former rancher will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial funeral chapel with Bishop’s Counselor Boyd Hancock of the West Weber LDS Ward officiating. Friends may call at the funeral chapel Tuesday, 6 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday until the service hour. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery.
