BYRNE, Jack Myrl — A funeral for Jack Myrl Byrne, 84, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at the Mountain View LDS Chapel, with Bishop Scott Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to the time of the service. Interment will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery. He was born on July 1, 1923, in Richland, Ore., to Joseph and LaVella Elverna (Elverna) Decker. On June 1, 1943, he married Iva Berneice Graham in Evanston. She preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2001. He was a member of the Lions Club, the National Guard, Air Control, a First Aid Instructor, and was the second mayor of Mountain View. He loved water skiing, his family, boating, timber and photography. Survivors include a son, Jack M. Byrne and his wife of Orem, Utah; two daughters, Iva Jeannette and her husband of Riverton, Utah, and Eden Virginia Walling of Mountain View; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold A Byrne of Evanston; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Earl Byrne. Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
